Hello, I'm Marijane — the maker behind every piece in this collection.

I live in Venice, Florida and am the proud Mom of two beautiful, independent young women and a Mimi to two adorable granddaughters.

I grew up in a small town in Maine. My Dad was a career Navy guy and my Mom a homemaker. I credit most of my creativity to my Mother's side of the family; my Grandmother, Mom and Aunt were always making something. They made their own clothes and ours (I have proof! Easter photos of my sister, cousin and me in matching dresses and bonnets!) They made braided rugs (truly a lost art) from strips of wool which were folded, braided and laced together to form a rug. My Mom and Aunt were artists; working with oil paint and water colors. However, it isn't just the female influence in my life that sparks my creative passion — my Grandfather (yes, on my Mother's side) and my Dad were both photographers. Rarely were they seen without a camera in their hands. It was watching them on a daily basis that laid the groundwork for the creativity I find so enjoyable and even necessary in my adult life.

My journey into jewelry making began over 35 years ago, inspired by the two most important people in my life — my daughters. When they were little girls with long, beautiful hair, I started making hair barrettes and headbands adorned with beads and ribbon just for them. What began as a labor of love for my girls slowly evolved into a deep passion for handcrafting wearable art. Along the way, I fell in love with the art of macramé and wire wrapping — techniques I now weave into my jewelry and accessory pieces to create designs that are as tactile and unique as the stones themselves. Today, that same love and intention I poured into those first little barrettes lives in every gemstone piece I create.

It was only natural that all of this creativity would find its way into my hands — and into the gemstones and natural stones I now shape into wearable art. There is something deeply grounding about working with the earth's own materials; each stone carries its own energy, color, and story, and I love honoring that in every piece I create.

Those who know me know that I am a perfectionist. No, I don't think I am perfect (far from it) but I strive for perfection in everything I do. This is a detriment to me (sometimes) but the end result is a benefit to you!
