A handcrafted, hammered antique copper ear wire connects to a hand-formed, hammered S-curve — its surface textured and oxidized, warm and dimensional along each bend — from which a single 4mm faceted carnelian bead is wire-wrapped as a drop at the base.
The carnelian is that deep amber-orange the stone does at its richest: warm, translucent at the edges, grounded at the center. Against the antique copper, the two read as made for each other — the metal earthy and warm, the stone luminous in the same register.
At ¼" wide by ¾" long (not including wire), these are small earrings with genuine presence — the kind that disappear into an outfit without disappearing entirely, and that reward a closer look. Three handmade components. One considered piece.
