The knotwork at the top of these earrings is the first thing you notice — teal nylon macrame cord worked into an intricate pattern, size 8/0 black seed beads woven through at intervals, the whole section building a rhythm of texture before it gives way to what hangs below.
What hangs below is a hand-selected Bacan stone half-teardrop pendant, sourced directly from Indonesia — 10mm at its widest and 28mm long, the full teardrop silhouette cut cleanly through its depth, flat on one face and revealing the stone’s interior patterning on the other. Each one is its own thing: deep teal and charcoal, natural mineral formations running through the surface in configurations that no two stones share. Bacan stone is prized for its color depth — that particular saturated teal that reads differently depending on the light — and for being genuinely, irreproducibly one of a kind.
Finished with gunmetal lever back ear wires. At 1¾" long, these wear as a statement without trying to be one.
